New Work
When I was learning to make digital art, I created and posted my work on Instagram every day for a year. I’m thinking I’d like to get back to this practice, and I’ll be darned, I cannot find my Apple Pencil. Soon it seems I’ll have to buy another or continue finger painting on my iPad.
Landscape Collection
I paint what I love and what I love belongs to the natural world: woods and waters, people, and florals.
During the year I travel between Massachusetts, Maine, and Florida. Wherever I am, the ocean is never far away. Seascapes and landscapes are my perennial favorites.
Digital Portraits by Mary Jane Mulholland
This recent portrait combines two of my interests: portraits and digital art. I like merging aspects of art to see what comes together. The portrait above was a beginning exploration that was followed by taking one of my painted portraits and then enhancing it with digital edits. Such mergers can lead to surprising results. Surprise is part of the fun of creating art.
